Introduction: Azopt ophthalmic suspension is a medicine used to reduce increased pressure in the eye, in people with glaucoma or ocular hypertension (high pressure in the eye).
It is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor. It works by decreasing the production of aqueous humour (fluid in the eye), thereby lowering the increased eye pressure.
Dosage: This medicine is for external use only. Check the label for directions before use.
Special Precaution: Never use a bottle if the seal is broken before you use it for the first time.
Side Effects: The most common side effects are blurred vision and a bitter taste in your mouth.
