It works by removing excess sugar from your body through urine.

Dosage: The doctor will advise the dose and duration of the dosage form. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it.

Side effects: The most common side effects include fungal infection of the vagina, nasopharyngitis (inflammation of the throat and nasal passages) and urinary tract infections.
