Mode of action: It works by suppressing the activity of osteoclasts, cells that cause destruction of bone. This strengthens the bones and minimizes the risk of fractures.

Dosage: The doctor or nurse will administer the medicine.

Special Precautions: Investigate regular medical tests to check your kidney function and calcium levels.

Side Effects: The most common side effects include nausea, fatigue, anemia, bone pain, constipation, fever, vomiting and breathlessness.
