Gatifloxacin is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria in the eye by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves. This treats your infection. Loteprednol etabonate is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red swollen and itchy.

Dosage: This medicine is for external use only. Check the label for directions before use.

Special Precautions: Never use a bottle if the seal is broken before you use it for the first time.

Side Effects: Use of this medicine may cause burning sensation, stinging and irritation at the application site.
